{Guest Post} 50+ Creative Math Activities for Kids

Sunday, March 15, 2015

I have been loving all the unique and fun math learning ideas from my friend Dyan over at And Next Comes L.  I asked her if she'd be interested in compiling them all to share with you and was so excited that she said yes!  If you're looking for creative ways to mix up math learning - she's got you covered!!!

I'm thrilled to be guest posting for Asia today. But I'm even more excited to be sharing this huge roundup of 50+ math activities for kids. From counting and addition to tally marks and skip counting to multiplication and fractions, I have got you covered! These math activities are great for toddlers up into early elementary. Unless, of course, you have a kid with hypernumeracy like I do. Then these activities are likely only good up until they're five because you know they're only days away from learning algebra and calculus. So needless to say, we spend a lot of time exploring math and numbers and because of his hypernumeracy, I have had to find ways to tailor age appropriate math activities to his advanced math skills. As a result, these math activities will suit a variety of ages and skill sets. And to help you out even more, I organized them into handy, dandy math categories. Enjoy!
